Default Horse Agistment/stables Perth Suburbs?

Hi there,

Been having a nightmare recently! Just arrived 5 days ago & we're looking for a suitable rental (eventually will buy)......

The prob being that the husband wants to be within around 45 mins from the sea so he can go fishing & our daughter wants a horse (had promised her one in UK), so we need to be near agistments or stables etc as well, BUT..... we can't seem to find a suburb with BOTH!! :scared:

We have driven around Wanneroo, which seemed fine (until we read about its reputation etc?? is this true?) its not too far from the sea & very close to agistments. Have also driven to Upper Swan and Bullsbrook (way too far out!). We need to be near a good high school too.

Can anyone suggest any northern suburbs that arent too far (less than 45 mins away) from the sea & also have a horse agistment nearby???

Please HELP!!! Have to be out of our holiday rental in 10 days!!!! Still cant agree on where to rent/buy??

Many thanks

x x

Hi Jo and Neil,
Have you tried Ellenbrook? As you may know there's agistment on Gnangara road and stables in Henley Brook which is off Gnangara road / Lord street.
What year will your eldest child be in? There's a new senior school opening in Feb for years 7 and 8 only.
It takes us less than 30 minutes to get to Hilary's and the other beaches in that area and about 40 minutes to get to Mindarie.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info.
Tracey

T here are some stables down the Wanneroo rd heading towards Hester Avenue (Ron's Riding Ranch) so the suburbs of Ridgewood , Butler, Quinns rock etc maybe worth looking at. We are breaking our lease if your interested

Ron's is a ranch that hires out horses for hacks. Well kept horses too.

Tracey's right, there's agistment places down the Gnangara Road, out towards Whiteman Park. Ellenbrook is close, but go backwards up the Wanneroo Rd, there's Carramar & Tapping. Good public state primary schools and a private high school..St Stephens.

thanks guys for all the info! Does anyone know what Pearsall & Madeley are like? They seem to be very close to Wanneroo for horse agistment? We have considered Tapping/Carramar but it only has 1 private high school nearby? Was really looking for a good state school (yr 8).

Thanks again

Have you considered buying an acreage property ?? We live 30 - 40 min drive from clarkson train station up the Waneroo road up by a place called Guilderton which has the river going into the sea so best of both worlds for the fisherman. Woodridge and Redfield park have 5 acre properties and Sovereign Hill has 2.5 - 3 acre properties so would suit a horse for your daughter.

Our kids go to school in Gingin which is a high school and all mentioned areas have the school bus.

If you fancy coming up for a looksee PM me ... I'd be happy to put the kettle on
