Default Home Insurance when letting UK property - any recommendations?

Hi Guys

Well the time has come for me to start sorting out the insurance for when we're renting the house out. I know that a lot of high street companies wont touch it so I was wondering if any of you who already let their property have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Rach, my husband lets a couple of houses out and has insurance on them - if you want I can have a mooch and find out who we did it through. I can't exactly recommend them though as we've never actually had to use them if you know what I mean. They can be really slow with the paperwork too - but they were cheap

Hi
We have just taken out Rent Insurance.
For under 300 (pounds) per year, we have secured our rent of 680 (pounds) per month for the rental term should our tenant default. I thought that was good value. We used RentSure, I'm sure you can search for the company, or contact me and I'll send the details if your interested.

Neil.

Thanks Neil - I'll look them out. I got a quote from insure24 for £42 per month which insured the building and the rent for £525 pr month and included legal protection.

It's renewal time!

Does anyone have the web address for insure24? I tried the one further up the page but it doesn't work.

Thanks
