There's a poster on here called Louie (I think) who used another poster on here called Jacque to find and buy a unit here in Sydney.
Jacque is a Buyers Agent - her website is listed in her sig line.

Are you looking in NSW or Victoria?
You would also need to specify your price range. The buyers advocate we would recommend is based in Victoria and is not just an old estate agent trying to rebrand to maximise income (not a remark directed at you Bobcat, from all reports you are providing an excellent service - just not relevant to us in Victoria )
% percentage expect to pay around 2-3% but go on gut instinct and you must provide clarity on what you are after - otherwise their time and cost goes up.

We did indeed use Jacques, although only to appraise and bid at auction on a unit we found on the internet (though we already knew the block), and would highly recommend her. Not that that's much help to the OP as they are in Melbourne.
Might be worth a PM to Jacques though in case she has a contact in Melbourne who could help.

Cheers GG, we're still undecided as to whether to buy here in Vic or in NSW. Based on affordability, it will prob be here but we've still to cross all the t's. Having a good time here in the West of Melbourne but we are feeling the pull of the east so we have a LOT to think about. Either way, it's going to be a big change for us, but we want to get it right, that's why we thought about the buyers advocate. Can you pm me the details of the person you used?
Thanks
