Holidays from Aus - cost of flights etc..
This may seem weird seen as we have decided we want to live in Australia but what are the cots associated with travelling/holidaying in the USA from Australia.
G/F wants (and me too) to visit certian places in the USA in the future and just wondered what the approx cost of that is compared to from here in the UK.
For example it is quite cheap to get to Florida from the UK, obvioulsy its a lot nearer, do AUS flights travel across the pacific ? ( not sure how many miles that is but has to be a lot more than the atlantic crossing)
Thanks.

there`s been a number of discussions about flights from Aus... do a search.
Basically it`s alot more expensive to fly from Oz to anywhere than it is to fly from anywhere to Oz.
http://www.bestflights.com.au seem to be the best atm ...

On the upside of flying from Oz though.... Singapore, Bali, Hong-Kong, Thailand, Japan, New Zealand..... not bad

Australia US flights are expensive because of lack of competition. It is probably marginally less to go to London than to LA. London US flights are cheap because of the no of airlines operating to all over the US, especially Florida.
