Holiday spending

Hey, going to Oz for holidays and wondering what the best option is for spending money. Cash, travellers cheques or pre paid credit card.

Any advice ??

I bank with Santander, do they have branches over there ?

Many thanks

Not seen a Santander but can use their debit cards here. Also whatever you feel comfortable with - cash or card :)

Pre or post-paid credit card, with some cash if you get stuck.

Definitely not travellers cheques.

I use my credit card for everything (just for the airmiles) and so far have only come across the Aldi that charges extra (Melbourne). Visa & mastercard are fine, American express is a different story.

Take some cash, but use credit cards otherwise.

well to avoid nasty charges and a few surprises on withdrawal charges change your money at marks and sparks and bring it over in cash in a money belt
