Default The holiday is over - got a job

One interview, one job, 9 days from starting looking to offer, I start on 3rd January (subject to a basic medical). How easy was that?!

It is with one of the big mining companies in the CBD, initially a 3 month contract (my preference). They seem a good bunch and have an active social life by the sounds of it. It is a job beneath the level I would expect but the pay is better than I dared expect two weeks ago and they are making all the right noises that a much better, even permanent role could result out of it.

Not sure if I am celebrating or commiserating tonight

Thanks. Your other half is in IT if I remember rightly. I am sure he will have no problems getting a job out here. When are you coming out?

Congratulations,

Wow, that was quick. Enjoy the next few weeks before work starts.

Get yoursef up that ladder, so you can employ me when I get over there

Cheers

Well done! Really pelased for you that you've landed a job.

All the best for Christmas and the New Year. (Maybe we can meet up when we're over in Perth on our validation trip [27/12 - 8/1]?)

Well done on securing that job - hope it's as easy for hubby ....... when the time comes ......... He has at least sent one application in now. I might be able to start my retail therapy again soon!

Enjoy christmas and time with the family before you rejoin the rat race!
