Holiday of a lifetime

Holiday of a lifetime
We are sat at home in "sunny" Mirfield, W.Yorkshire dreaming of our move to Brisbane in June 2006 (fingers crossed). When we arrive the idea is to buy a campervan and go exploring the east coast for six months, before the reality of finding work etc kicks in.
Can anyone point us in the right direction of unmissable things to do/see.
We hope to travel as far up as Darwin, in fact everywhere other than Perth.
Thanks
ps. we will have a dog with us so i don't know whether this will be restrictive. (hopefully not too much)

You say you will explore the East coast for 6 months, if you end up in Perth you have made a serious wrong turn .
Places Ive been in QLD
1) Lady Musgrave Island (Travel from The Town of 1770 as opposed to Bundaberg).
2) The Glass House Mountains National Park
3) Lamington National Park tree top walk
