Holiday to Goldcoat any recommendations?
Hi everyone
We got our VISA (YAY) and as we aren't ready to actually emigrate yet we've decided to activate it by way of a holiday to Queensland. We've booked our flights and hotel. We're staying at the Oaks Calypso Apartments in Coolangatta (anyone been there?).
Can anyone recommend anything we should put on our itinerary whilst we are there. We were planning on going to some of the theme parks on the Gold Coast but apart from that we have nothing planned yet!
We go at the end of March.
Many thanks.
Emma

Re: Holiday to Goldcoat any recommendations?
We have just returned from Queensland a few days ago and had a great time.
Our children are 1 and 3 years old and we visited somewhere everyday :O) There is loads to do.
I would recommend
Aussie World and The Ettomogough Pub (a little theme park on the sunshine coast)
Australia zoo ( Steve Irwins place....an absolutely fab day out)
The beaches...each one is fab in it's own way.
Movie world....excellent!
If you go to Surfers Paradise the Aquaduck tour was fun (a sightseeing tour that starts as a bus and then drives into the sea and becomes a bus, it is about an hour long and we were lucky enough to see a family of dolphins swimming alongside of us.)
We didnt make it to the other theme parks but they looked super.
Brisbane was great for shopping too.
I hope you have a fab time
