we have just been to inspect the house before settlement tomorrow and in the main lounge area there are 3 big holes in the wall about 4" by 3 " plus 4 big bolts where the owner had his Plasma tv,
it looks a right mess!
the Estate agent has offered the services of her brother to make good the wall as the owner said "Its a media room" and would not honour the agreement to make good any damages!!

all the movers are booked and we should be in Friday, with a nice feature wall of 3 dirty great holes to look at... :curse:

Bloody hell. You'll have to buy a bloomin great tv to cover it

Is there nothing in the contract that says they have to make good the wall?!

We're just in the process of selling our home in the UK. We had to sign a document that included amongst other things that we would make good any damage due to removing things from the walls.

Can you keep some money back from the settlement? What does your solicitor say?
