Re: Holden Jackaroo

They exist in Venezuela as Isuzu Caribe, and I must say they don´t have a good reputation.

Lots of repairs and failures....

Maybe in Australia is different so probably Ozies will comment...

Cheers...

Re: Holden Jackaroo

ok, but not as good as a Toyota Hilux or LandCruiser - I guess it is a more affordable option.

Also the Mitsibishi Triton is kind of middle ground..

I know jack shit about cars but the people that I know that do know about these things drive a Toyota Hi Lux. Holden is vauxhall Opel in disguise and along with Ford best avoided unless you enjoy ringing the NRMA.

A Holden Jackaroo is an Isuzu Trooper or a Vauxhall Monterey in the UK so just do your homework on those. Expensive parts ( I work in a bodyshop over here) It's personal choice what you get. Newer ones are obviosly better. But they do have 7 seats.

I've been tryng to remember where, but someone on a forum - probably this one - commented that the Vauxhall Frontera was markedly different from the identical looking Holden version in terms of parts and build, so I'd be inclined to hang on until I got to Oz and see what everyone else is driving. We're aiming for a Hilux, but Holden and Ford both do cheap dual cab 4x4 utes too.
