HND in Mechanical Engineering
I’m going out to Australia with my level 4 apprenticeship in fabrication and welding and a HND in Mechanical Engineering, what would be the process in getting my HND converted to a graduate certificate?
will it be a full skills assessment, or will it just be a fee to pay and they will transfer it to the Australian equivalent? Would a graduate certificate in Australia be entry requirement for an honours degree still. Or does it work completely different? regards AC |
Re: HND in Mechanical Engineering
I would speak to a agent about that as it is complex

Re: HND in Mechanical Engineering
From What I remember an HND in Mechanical Engineering is equivalent to an advanced certificate in Engineering here in Oz. HNC would be a certificate in Engineering. What degree are you looking at doing?

I had my HNC assessed as Diploma level. The migrant services team in Adelaide at the time were able to do it if it was on the guidelines. HND is equivalent to advanced diploma.

Here's the full list of OZ level qualifications https://www.aqf.edu.au/aqf-levels So I don't see any way that the HND will be converted to a grad certificate unfortunately. But the HND should get the OP into an honours degree  If the OP is headed to QLD there's a mob who assess qualifications for free - depending on visa status - https://desbt.qld.gov.au/training/tr...osqrecognition Good luck OP! |
