HIV test - Do I need one for a marriage visa?
Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me if I need a HIV test for a marriage visa. I've called up a few surgeries to make an appointment today and been given conflicting info.
One receptionist said I only needed one if I was in the medical profession? The medical form I have says I DO need a HIv test. Can anyone please help before I waste any pennys?

I had to. Was part of the medical. I'm almost positive that it's required.

hiya, my hubby and myself had to have a HIV and hepatitus test because we ve got piercings and tattoos,i think this is usually the case as well as if your in the medical proffesion.

Me too for my marriage visa, it is part of the whole medical, I think that you also have to have hep tests now even if you have no piercings, tatoos etc It should all be included in the price of your medical. MAke sure you are using one of the doctors that are specified by DIMIA, they should know all the correct info.

I've just booked in for the works
...I was quite suprised £145.00 for the lot. Not sure if that's good or bad? I'm having them done in Knightsbridge, London.
