Historic Exchange Rates.

How do people go about finding the exchange rate on say 5 April 2000 as we have just done. I have access to lots of historic rate data and from my data the rates were:-

5th April 2000 2.612
5th April 2001 2.922
5th April 2002 2.717

Can anyone confirm this data or if not what figures have other people used.

Mike.

Mike,

Take a look at: http://www.oanda.com

I believe DIMIA (in London at least) also use this site to confirm exchange rates.

Best regards.

I've just found this site via Google:

http://fxtop.com/en/historates.php3

Not sure how accurate it is but seems OK.

You can also get a chart via Yahoo:

www.oanda.com is a good source of historical currency rates.
