Hidden Treasures

We did the garage sale thing today and whilst rumaging through some boxes freshly down from the loft i found an absolute gem, which i had totally forgotten about for 20 years, a Rubiks Cube! I have been going demented all day trying to do the bloody thing and i'm sure i've got repetitive strain injury already. Nothings changed though, my blondness still won't let me do it:rolleyes:
Has anyone else found any hidden treasures? (a big wad of cash would be nice hey?)

Best thing we found last time we were going thru some bits and pieces was my husband's diary that he wrote when he was 17. Nearly wet ourselves laughing at his teenage angst, and his 17 yo's take on the world. Needless to say this diary is now considered to be a family heirloom and whenever we need a good laugh we drag it out.

Those Rubik's cube - I was never able to solve the damn thing.

Ah someone had to post it. I remember being shown the solution and it was fairly easy/boring one you had it. But it's all gobbeldegook now

Yep, found one: a cricket bat signed by all players from the 1993 test match at Trent Bridge, England vs Australia. Got it free (hee, hee! contacts!) Tuned into ebay and saw one going for GBP175 from this year's test so mine must be worth more. Only problem is, it looks very tatty and has a big water stain or something on it (been standing in the laundry as my wife thinks it's ugly).

Any offers?

PS Sometimes my wife makes me stand in the laundry too.

Oh my God - yes I remember (cringe)

As for the legwarmers - was it legwarmers up, legwarmers down or legwarmers 3/4!!! Oh such an adaptable item of clothing.

Now where's my Katchagoogoo LP????

Diane:rolleyes:

No treasures as yet, but the junk is unbelievable. Thank goodness I have cleared out in stages, otherwise there would have been a need for a skip.

Leg warmers on there own, not too bad, but our school uniform was brown! Couple this with the skin tight brown chords, sort of pointy shoes (in summer once it was too hot for the pixie boots) and fingerless gloves, what were we thinking!!!!!!
:scared:
