Red face Hepatic Haemangioma

See, I knew if I typed a strange subject you’d all look!!!! If there’s anyone not to drunk to offer some (helpful) advice, we’d really appreciate it.

At the beginning of the year my GP suspected I had IBS and suggested further investigations. Had a pelvic scan in August where the Dr discovered I had a shadow on my liver. After a few heart stopping moments he informed me that shadows on the liver were common (3% of the population have them) and, to be on the safe side, he’d book me in for an MRI scan.

December 6, had my MRI scan. Just got the results today and I’ve got “Hepatic Haemangioma”. 5 benign tumours on my liver. Now, my GP says “not to worry” and that they are not cancerous, they may not even grow any bigger and there are no precautions/medications I need to take.

My question is – does anybody on here know how this may affect our medicals and if this could prevent us going to Oz?

Would be grateful for any advice, may not respond straight away – just off to pickle my liver……

I'm not sure if it would prevent you getting a visa or not as I'm no expert. All you can do is get as much information from your doctor on the condition as you can before going for your medicals (reports from specialists, copies of you medical notes etc) and take them with you to the panel doctor.

And as always if you are in doubt speak to a migration agent who would be able to give you advice on the best way to present things to DIMA.
