Hi Everyone,

We fly to Sydney on Sunday evening, from Heathrow, on a 457 Visa.

Can we take out normal Uk travel Insurance or does it need to be with someone like Go Walkabout. I have searched through the threads and I am getting conflicting answers which my small over worked brain is not able to deal with so close to leaving day!!

As it is only a temporary 4 year visa initially....does it make any difference.

Please help as I am confused and need to get some cover asap.

Hi

You need one way travel insurance which most insurance companies don't do (they only cover you if your trip begins AND ends in the UK. We used go walkabout but I believe the post office also do it.
