Default help on setting up a pty ltd company

Hi
Hubby started his new job yesterday, apart from having hassle getting there and back (don't ask). He was told that after the 3 month casual, if he was taken on permanently he would work as a contractor for them, and would have to set up a pty ltd company!

Seen on another thread about a management company to help, would this apply to hubby with pty ltd.
Any advice etc greatly appreciated.

a very yve

Setting up costs about $800, then $200 per year to renew. Lots more than the UK.

You can buy off-the-shelf companies for about $1,000.

One person can be director, secretary and own all the shares in Australia, unlike the UK.

Take a look at http://www.asic.gov.au/asic/asic_inf...s?openDocument to get you started.
