Hi I posted a few days ago under visa/immigration but haven’t received a reply so thought I’d post here as we’re in limbo a bit and would really appreciate someone’s thoughts....



Hi everyone, I’ve been following posts for a few weeks now since we started our visa process. It’s such a good forum so I’ve been able to find the answers to most things without having to post. However I have a query which is more of a second opinion to what I already think....my husband (the main applicant who is a wall & floor tiler) did his PTE test on Wednesday as he was 5pts short of the new 65 point requirement. He wanted to rebook straight away because he said parts of it were really tricky and he thought he’d failed. However the same evening as the test to our surprise the results were in!! His overall score was high enough but I’d read that it had to be over 65 in all sections and his grammar and spelling scored lower. However after looking more I saw that by all sections it only referred to the reading, writing, spelling etc. So I came to the conclusion that he had passed and will gain the 10 points we were aiming for - could someone just confirm this is correct please as we can’t quite believe it as he did an hour of revision because he’s been working such long hours!! I have attached his test report.... also if ie understood it correctly he was actually quite close to scoring the superior result?! Thanks so much ☺️
