Help Please Passport Still at Australia House!
Hi
I hope somebody can help; I have sent off my passports to AHC london because I have just got married and changed my name and need to have visa label put onto my new passport as the new me. I have validated the visa over xmas on trip to perth and they found a mistake on the visa ( its says British National on my visa) when I have am British Citizen.
Anyway the problem is that I have sent off my passports over two weeks ago and I still havent got them back! and I need to travel - what shall I do as I cant phone them ( keeping fobbing me off when I do)
anyone had any contact with AHC recently or could advise on a situation like this....please help ..ver worried....saloni

The only thing that I could suggest is faxing them. Write down all the details and ask for help. Possibly offer to pick them up if that's easier.
I've found that most often when you call, they can brush you off but when they receive something in writing, they are more likely to deal with it rather than putting it aside.
Maybe because they have to document it? In any case I always get a call WAY faster if I sent things in writing.
Good luck!
