Help Please?
Hi Guys
Just got back from a weekend break in Barcelona, where my other halfs passport was stolen. It had our Australian Visa's in
Anyone been through a similiar situation? I'll sort out getting another passport and am hoping it is just a matter of getting AHC to issue another one - possibly charging us for the pleasure.
Any help or advice on this would really be appreciated. Being a natural born worrier I'm feeling sick about it.

im not sure about this one but im sure if you rang the passport office they might have a clue???

I'd get in touch with AHC asap, explain what happened etc. I doubt there will be a problem with issuing another one as they've got all your paperwork etc.
Did you get a police report done when it was nicked? If so, you might be able to claim the cost of the replacement passport and visa on your insurance.

Thanks for replies. I've already gone on line and filled in another passport application. We did report it to the police and had to go to the british embassy so we could get a temp. passport so he could fly home.
I've spent about 20 mins listening to AHC recorded messages and will call them this afternoon to advise them of the situ. Hopefully it won't be a complicated process. Mind you - after getting a visa and selling a house, everything else will seem like a stroll in the park (I hope!!).
Interesting about the insurance side of it - I'll contact my insurance company and see whether I'm covered.

Try e-mailing/pm-ing Tinaj. Her passport went missing just after the visa was put in it - would be 2nd half of last year I think. There are threads on here somewhere, I think she managed to get the visa reissued without too much problem.
