Question Help Please

I am stuck for ideas for a paper anniversary present. I didn't realise these events mattered so much to you ladies.

I made some paper earrings with an artfully sculpted spiral of cleverly shaped paper and a hand-crafted (OK then, bent) paper clip and put them into a jewellery box.

I also gave her something expensive too.

A friend of mine got her husband a news paper from the day following the 1966 world cup win ( with authenticity cert.) for their paper one. Not a great idea for a wife generally but thought it was imaginative.
I got a card for mine!!

Agree with Debs about the plane ticket! If you're feeling tighter, why not book a table in a lovely restaurant and sneak a menu in her anniversary card? Not that we normally do the old presents for the year thing anyway!
Have a nice time!

Plane ticket would be good but we are saving cash. I will get told off for a lack of imagination if I give a voucher or money. We are going out for dinner on Saturday anyway.

There is not enough room for a paper screen PP but thats a good idea.

The good thing is you have all sparked my imagination so I will have a walk about and see what I can get.

how about a song sheet , or the sheet music to one of her favourite artists.

Buy her an acre of land on the moon ( you recieve a certificate ), more of a bloke thing tho.

How about, a hand drawn map.let her follow the directions on the map to a nice secluded area in a very romantic spot, where you are waiting with a bottle of wine / champs and spend some time alone. If she doesn't fare well with mapreading though you could end up on your own all night with a very lost and angry partner lol.

Certificates are always popular," the day she was born" etc.

Good luck.

Paul

If I drew a map to the Opera house she would end up in the Blue Mountains. Nice idea though.

I've been engaged 3 months - or something.
When do I have to start worrying about anniversaries, and what do you get for the first year?

Don't go in for the anniversary thing myself (and I'm a girlie) - it wasn't til I'd read a couple of posts that I realised that paper was for 1 yr.

Congratulations anyway.

Claire

PS you could always give her a paper tissue to wipe away the tears when she realises thats all you've got her.
