I am going to Pakenham in Melbourne in the end of Nov 09 on one year holiday visa with my son to see my daughter, My son is 10 years old and I would like to no if i can enroll him in a local state school & if so how long is he allowed to go to school for ? & how much are the school fees?, or can anyone recommend a good school in Pakenham area any help would be great:

I know that at our school we're always having kids join us for around a year, hopefully Victoria does that too. Good luck.

12 weeks max on a holiday visa and fees roughly pro rata for the $9kpa on a weekly basis. Possible enrolment in a school which has vacancies closeish by but no entitlement to enrol in the local school.
