Question Help needed for place to stay in Gold Coast

Hi All,

Myself, wife & our 12 year old daughter will be heading to the Gold Coast around the 20th July to validate visa's and we are looking for a good place to stay initially for a day or 2 to relax and have a good sleep after the long flight, so if anyone can recommend a place that’s around an hour from Brisbane it would be much appreciated.

We stayed at the mint resort xanadu hotel on main beach. Once when we validated in august 07 and also when we arrived in january 08. Fantastic hotel with views to die for..

Hi,

We have stayed at the Courtyard Mariott in Surfers Paraidse twice now and both times were really nice, you can get an ocean view room...pretty sure it was no extra cost both times and views were fantastic.

Enjoy your trip

Many Thanks Sarah & Marie,

I don’t know how things will work out as our flight arrives at 6am on a Sunday in Brisbane so we may have to pre book so we can just get a room without waiting for a check-in time, it is always nice to have a few recommendations to choose from when you are in a new place.

If you look up wotif.com.au 2 to 3 weeks before you land, you will be able to get a place at discounted rates.

If you want a 'home' rather than a hotel, Brido on here has an apartment in Broadbeach in a great location. 2 minutes walk to beach, close to highway and so the rest of GC, look him up and he'll let you know if its available

Many Thanks to Manc1 & Sam for your help,

I quite like the idea of an apartment and if it was in a good place we could book for a bit longer. Also that site wotif.com.au is just great so will def have a good look on there.
