Default Help moving to Austrailia

hi, my names josh im 18, and im currently in the building trade as a plasterer and have been for for 3 years, ive also got an NVQ2. i want to apply for a working holiday visa when i can. ive been told Perth and Adelaide are good places, but id like someone to give me some information or advice, as im a bit stuck on what to do now. thanks

Be aware that on a WHV you will not be "moving to Australia". You will be coming for a one year holiday where you can work.

Ok, is it much harder to get a permanent visa?

yep...and for you Josh it will be nigh on impossible. You have to be able to demonstrate skills and qualifications in a required skill, the list is on the DIAC website. But, like I think Dorothy has mentioned before, you really need to speak to a MARA agent to clarify your options.

At 18 it's very difficult. You need to read www.immi.gov.au for what visa options may be available.

Come for your year's WHV, see if you like it and if you do then go home and get some certificates and work experience so you can later apply for a PR visa. Australia is not going anywhere and at 18 you have many years ahead of you to make it happen.
