Re: Help! May be moving to Brisbane
Keep your options open and look at the pros & cons of living close to the centre vs suburbia.
Personally I would give Southbank a look as your hubby could literally walk to work (or take the boat/seacat services that hop across the river), saving the commute and giving you more time to spend together. Add to that the ease of going out without a car for dinner or drinks, etc. There should be a lot of nice condos there with good facilities like a pool, just not sure what the current prices are for Southbank. But do give it a look and compare it to the other option of a house on the outskirts with a 45 min commute to work and see what lifestyle you're after and how it works out budget-wise. |

West End also worth a look. Up and coming with good facilities, restaurants and bars and you can walk to South Bank and the ferry/bridge too.

Re: Help! May be moving to Brisbane
At that price you'd be better off looking at an apartment, "nice house with pool" and $600 do not really go together, as mentioned an apartment complex is likely to have a pool though and apartment rentals are currently in oversupply in Brisbane so prices are low.
