Help getting back to the UK

Hey
I am just wondering if there any organizations that might assist me in getting back to Northern Ireland if my mum passes away?
We did have kinsure insurance, but on closer inspection of the policy, i seriously doubt they would pay up. My mum has had too many serious conditions.
She has now been diagnosed with Hodgkins, on top of the leukaemia and a host of other problems. Not sure if she will make it through this one......
We are currently living in Palm Beach, QLD
Any advice from anyone regarding this would be gratefully received.:fingerscrossed:

I wasn't aware of there being such organizations, but thought by sending this message it'd bump your thread and hopefully someone will hop on and help you!

I too am from Northern Ireland and hope to be in Oz sometime in the next decade (when they finally issue my visa!!!) lol

Good Luck,

Jen xo

Thank you! Hopefully you will get your visa soon.... it seems to take forever but you get there in the end!

I doubt it. Is there an agency in N Ireland that will send your family here if you die?

Seriously, I would recommend you set aside enough cash so you are able to buy a ticket on short notice. Also bear in mind that most airlines don't do bereavement fares anymore, either. I checked when my father died in December.

Sorry to hear about your mum, sadly that's the price we pay for living on the other side of the world. I just reckon my credit card will get a bashing if and when I get "the call". We had kinsure for the longest time but no longer.

I would have thought that if this is not a pre-existing condition that your mum had when the policy was taken out then you would be covered. If it was a pre-existing condition then obviously it specifically says they are excluded.
