HELP!!furnished accomodation in Brissie.
We are due to fly out July 31st. we need furnished accommodation for about 8 weeks while we wait for our furniture to arrive. we have looked at brisbanebound but their houses are booked. Does anyone know of any other accommodation ideally 3+bedrooms with a pool, we are getting desperate and only have holiday apartments to consider. At 200.00 pounds a night this will eat into our savings.

Dont know if it's of any help whatsoever but we stayed with a company called Pomsinperth when we arrived. I remembered reading somewhere that they were starting a thing called Brits in Brisbane. Anyway, look for Poms in Perth and give them a call. If it's Nigel you speak too, tell him Santa sent you !!! he'll know who you mean.

We are booked into Gateway holiday village in Rochedale on the south side.
800 dollars for the 3 weeks was pretty good i think and will provide an ideal short term base to look for a more permanent place.
Most rentals have 6 month contracts which is no good if you don't know which area you like.

Thanks for the reply, We've been in touch with them and they are on the list that we will eventually choose from, Mrs Dagboy helped us with an initial list and we've wittled it down to 3 or 4 places now. Hopefully we will be checking dates and avalability for the 1st week in August for up to 8 weeks untill our furniture arrives. When will you be arriving in Brissie and what do you intend to do after your initial 3 week rental is up? Are you settling there oris it just a hoilday? Steve.

it should be about $800 per week.
But if a cabin deal is done for $800 for the entire 3 week period, then that's a "great" deal
A powered camp site, for a family of 4, at those rates would be $798 for 21 days :scared:

We are flying over on the 2nd August and booked an Apartment close to the CBD in West End.
Gateway Village Resort -
The total cost for 2 adults, 2 children for 17 nights in a One Bedroom Holiday Villa will be AUD$1,190.00.
Or
Two Bedroom Holiday Home for the same period will be AUD$1,275.00.
Gold Coast Holiday Park -
A Cabin would be $1299, a one-bedroom Villa would be $1499 and a Bungalow
would be $1950.
Allender Apartments -
Deluxe Suite King size bed in separate bedroom, living area with a
divan which converts to a single bed, fully self contained kitchen,
ensuite.
Tariff is usually $154.00 per night however for a stay of 17
nights this would reduce to $99.00 per night.
Heritage Apartment Studio style apartment in their 1918 heritage listed
home (king size bed, fully self-contained kitchen, ensuite). Tariff
same as Deluxe suites.
Studio Apartment Queen size bed in living area, fully self-contained
kitchen, ensuite. Tariff is usuall $99.00 per night however for a stay
of 17 nights this would reduce to $70.00 per night.
Village West End -
3 Bedroomed Self Contained Apartment (Kitchen, Laundry etc) -$650/Week and $90/Day for any other period, so for us it would have cost $1660.00
Also have a look on http://www.SEQrents.com.au for short term Rental, it may be of some help.
The above are figures that have been quoted to me don`t know if they are of any help.
Martin.
