help with calling oz

hi all
i was wondering if you could help me with this question.
A couple of months ago there was a thread for cheap phone calls to oz, i did print off the information but guess what? i can't find it now.
I know that when you called this number it only cost 1penny a minute. It wasn't done through the internet either.
If anyone can remember the link could you please let me have it again. I have just spent an hour on here doing a search but i can't find it.
Thank you in advance Jackie

This website lists a number of cheap options (from 0.5p a minute). Ignore the subscription only ones and go for the 08x - coudn't be easier :)

Hi Jackie,

I did not see the original post but have a look at this link.

http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert...ntcallchecker/

I think you will need to do a copy and paste job.

We use an overider service sometimes the calls are not too clear so we have to re-dial, it will all become clear.

hope this helps. You may wish to search around the site a bit, it is a really useful one to have in your bookmarks.

oh yeah you could also try skype.

Sam

Maybe this one?

http://callme.britishexpats.com/

We set them to set up "our UK number" for friends and family to call us and found people much happier to use it than dialling direct.

It may have been this:

www.cheapercallrate.com

You provide them with an Aussie phone number (or any other country listed on their site, for that matter) and they instantly give you a UK lo-call number to dial.
They list Oz as 2p per minute that gets charged direct to your landline bill.

My family use it all the time and the call clarity is great.

hope that helps..

you are extremely thrifty... I heard you can economise on toilet paper by using it 2 times . If you share then you can double that.

Should save you 50p minimum. Carry on for twenty five years and you've got a small fortune.

Oh, And you can do the same with rubbers (turn em inside out). :D :D

I don't think you'll get it cheaper than this.... 0.015p per minute using www.jajah.com internet phone. All you need is broadband, we use it every day all the time..... brilliant!!

Neil.

Hello,

I have just found out about a company called Skype which do very cheap calls via the internet. You can either call to another Skype account for free or to a normal land line for a small price. You will need to have a headset and if your still in the UK apparently Tesco do them for about a tenner!

We used to use Skype, but with Jajah you use your normal BT (UK) or Telstra (Oz) phone.
