Help Brisbanites and Gold Coasters

Help Brisbanites and Gold Coasters
OK feel very sick. Have just booked flights for me to validate on my own - don't want to, wanted one way for four of us but hey! Arriving 19th Aug, leaving 24th.
Next question...... Can anyone help with recommending somewhere for me to stay either Brisbane close to station to get to Gold Coast or close to Helensvale on Gold Coast. Need to feel safe etc and be straightforward to travel around from. If that makes sense
Failing that, does any kind soul fancy putting up a fairly normal billy no mates for a few days.
Having to be a grown up and don't want to be :scared:

good luck with the trip. My (Aussie) wife and I are off to Brisvegas on 1 August for good. Gulp!
Good place to stay is Dockside Appartments near Kangaroo Point in Brisbane. Not close to station but friendly and relaxed place to stay.
Best of luck with the trip, I'm sure it'll all be fine.

Finally back onto good old Britishexpats, had a busy couple of months!!!! bloody coffee mornings, but someone has to do it
