Help with Accommodation this Xmas Time

Hi All,

I wonder if someone could advise me on ideas where to stay when we fly in over Xmas.

We arrive into Brisbane at 09.00hrs Saturday 27th Dec and need to be in Sydney for Tuesday 30th December (where we have apartments booked).

Can anyone suggest places to stay on route to Sydney from Brisbane (obviously got a long way to go).....not fussed on high standard really.

Byron Bay is a good stopover on the way, there are loads of guest houses and hostels there, check out Trip Adviser.
