Hello from a new person
Hi
Just wanted to introduce ourselves - discovered this forum prior to flying out to Adelaide a month ago. We are Jim, wife = Lucy, one kiddie Angus(2) as you may have guessed from our sons name we are Scottish,from Glasgow. Living in Brighton and loving it. Hope to meet up with some of you guys at some point and hope you won't mind answering questions. Hope to provide any help/support I can in return - only new here though!

People are so friendly and laid back, beaches are always deserted, even now!
We'll be looking for work in the new year and that'll be the real acid test!
We're picking up the lifestyle bit by bit but daft things surprise us - we only found out the other day that the supermarkets here are shut for 4 consecutive days over Christmas! However they reckon some shops in Glenelg are open so we'll see.
We met a Scottish guy at the Westfield Marion shopping centre today who had been here for 40 years and hadn't lost his accent at all! He loved it and was gushing about Australia - so friendly!
So far, so good - we love it!

I am from Glasgow myself, have been living in Birmingham for the past 8 years - moving out to Canberra in feb/march fingers crossed. Nice to hear from you. You're making me feel very jealous with the talk of beaches - stuck in Birmingham City Centre, last day at work today aim to be in the boozer for 4pm!

Please to hear you having a good time, we hope to be in Adelaide early next year (hoping for mid March) got PR but hoping the house will sell!!!
We are in York at the moment but going to Glasgow next week for a couple of days.
