Cool Hello

Hello everyone,
This is my first time on here so be gentle with me.
Me & the wife are now seriously talking about moving to NZ,
Christchurch in particular looks good.
We are hoping to get out there Nov 04 for a fact finding expo etc.......
I need to be roughly 25/45 mins away from the city ( IT ), i've seen a few towns mentioned on previous posts & was just wondering how i'd comute to work..? train or bus/coach.
Sorry about the silly question, i'm a NZ virgin.

Thanks in advance.

You'll probably wake up to a better reponse, from someone out there... so hang on and ask as many questions as you can think of.

Hi

We live just outside Christchurch and I would say you will most probably commute to work via car. There is a bus though so that is also a possibility. Definately not train there is a railroad but don't think many of the local staions operate any more.

Cheers Chris,
It's all mad, points, visa's etc... it's enough to drive you to drink, & i've only been genuinely looking into moving the last couple of days.

Hey M.T. I'm U.K bound for Perth 7/11 all booked and ready to go got confirmation today of my visa should have it in my hands tomorrow.I'm not one who gets stressed normally but the last 5 months have started to get to me ,and mine was quite straight forward as my wife is an Aussie and my 5 kids are by decsent.I think my slightly blemished past slowed it up somewhat.Birthday Tuesday visa today the beer ain't going to last much longer

I found Auckland centre a bit like Croydon with worse traffic and minimal pulic transport.

Depends what floats your boat really.
