We just went to see the nurse for our daughters 2 year check up - a bit late (she is 2.5) but thought it necessary.
They include a few additional tests not done when in the UK ie check the teeth and eye hand coordination - catching a ball.

Their books (yellow) are almost the same as the UK (red) - the ones with all the childs details ie immunisation, weights and heights.

Think we were passed the details through via our local GP. Sorry but wife is asleep so will have to ask her later.

Hi Karen,

When I was working in Australia community Midwives and Health Visitors did not really exist (as we know them) There were childhood health centres that you would take your baby/toddler to for weighing etc....
This was in NSW, so may differ from state to state.

Wife has awoken and said:

You need to contact via your local council office - she went to the local town hall and got the number - there should be a selection of these centres so just choose the one closet to your intended location.

Maternal and child health centres in your area - ask for phone number and leave message. They are only interested in kids up to the age of 6.

The standard was much higher - my experience was the interpersonal skills were at least
