Health Insurance for Grandparents Visiting Aus
They're 76 and 79 , but you wouldn't guess it - what is the best way to protect them ? They'll need insurance I take it , as they won't have medicare -

They'll have Medicare. reciprocal agreement for visitors

But they should get travel insurance for the journey. They could be taken ill anywhere en route and end up being treated in Singapore or elsewhere, then there would be extra flights and accommodation costs as well. Also, if one is taken ill in Australia and needs to go back to the UK in an air ambulance that would not be covered by Medicare.
