Yes, a hell of a lot worse than I ever got it in UK. I think it depends what stuff you have in your/neighbours gardens though. Bit of a bugger if you're allergic to the type of grass you have! Whereas I used to get a few weeks symptoms a year in UK, here I have to take the highest strength anti histamines for about 7-8 months of the year. A SA mate of mine has to have prescription strength drugs due to his hayfever which he did not have in UK or SA!

Asthma and eczema, which both my girls have, has been a lot better here though.

Son is better, and his asthma has dissapeared.

I had 'extreme' hayfever in the UK. Nothing at all in Brisbane.

I'm in Brisbane, used to get a little hayfever in the UK, suffer dreadfully over here - streaming eyes and nose, blocked sinuses, the lot

I get quite bad hayfever in the UK, and it's at it's worst when the farms are silaging. I think I'm allergic to grass pollen mainly, although I must be allergic to a few plants or trees.

When I go on hols to Europe, or when I was in Oz last year, I had no problems. But then I don't have any problems in big cities or near the coast in the UK either.

I had it, and when I changed the continent over a decade ago, hay fever disappeared for two or three years, but then hit back. Something triggered it - don't know what though - but once it came back it stayed. Hits me twice a year, grass pollen mainly.

My husband gets quite bad hayfever over here during the summer. Hopefully he will be one of the lucky ones and it will disappear when we arrive.

This happens quite commonly with allergies.

Many people find it improves when they change their environment but it then returns after some time.

Does anyone know if any of the UK drugs are banned in Oz, like they are in the USA.

I use levocetirizine 5mg here. I doesn't last all day and makes me feel tired, but the doctor says thats all I can have.

I have really bad hay fever here in UK, but also had it in the Summer in Sydney, but not in Melbourne or Adelaide!
