OK, have persuaded hubby that Aus is best - hurrah. Now hes panicking about getting there, how much it will cost, selling our uk house in time, how long it will take for medicals, etc. It looks like his job will start on 1st Dec, and his company will do all the relevant paperwork. So I hope its just getting our house sold, and getting the dog over that I will have to do. His company office is in Castle Hill, NSW. Is this a good place to start renting? Or should we look at Central Coast area where I would like to be? Also, with the dog, what chance do we have of getting rental with pets allowed? So many questions, not much time.....

Congrats that hubby has a job. I take it he is being sponsored?
You need to find out a bit more from the company about what you will be required to do I think. When you know what visa type you are applying for, people will be able to help you with any specific questions you have. The Immigration forum is a great place to search for this type of info.
In terms of info about specific areas, you would probably be better off posting a new thread with a quite specific title. People often only read the one's that they think may be of interest to them.
Also, have you tried using the search facility? There have been plenty of threads about shipping pets. Again, you could also try posting a specific thread.
