Has Anyone used IOM Flights?

Hello

Just trying to find out about flights had quote from IOM (International Organization of Migration) which was flagged to us by our migration agent.

Just trying to see if anyone else booked and used, if so :

1)Were you allowed to specify an exact date (ideally we want to leave UK on a Wednesday for work reasons)?

2) Were the quotes the same as you paid (seem a lot cheaper than we can find elsewhere)?

3) Were flights sensible i.e. no long waits in transit?

Thanks for your help

Stuart

Several posts on here about it if you have a search, but they aren't over popular because they aren't very flexible. One thread is -

Also didn't work out particularly cheap once you agreed to use them. Their 'advertised fare' suddenly disappears ;)

So guessing general view is they aren't great.

Has anyone had positive experience?

My advice is to go to a Travel Agent or book a normal straightforward flight on-line. I don't see how they can massively undercut either of those two options. At least that way you can hopefully decide exactly when you leave.

When you get to Oz it will be full-on finding a rental, cars etc etc etc. I suggest that you ensure that the flight out [and it's a loooonnnggg flight] is as stress-free and simple as possible.

We had positive experience with IOM. Our one-way flights to Perth 2 years ago were 641 Euro each. We could choose our days but of course you have to book in advance to get what you want because the flights are subject to availability and the price depends on the airline company which is in this case Qantas. If you are not happy with the conditions you don't have to use this service. The best thing about is the free luggage allowance about 40 kg.
The easiest would be to ask IOM. Good luck.
