yip i did it. its a bit of an odd feeling. the whole thing takes over 3 hours. u get a crash course on a lot of bollox. then u get out there and walk. its not scary at all. u stop every 10 mins and the guy says.....hey look at the view !!!
ten mins later hes saying the same thing lol
but it was one of the best things ive done here.
he will love it
heres a wee bit of the sydney expats climb last year

I'm actually now quite curious at what photo you saw because I didn't think I was that bad! :o Was it the one of me and hubby at our daughter's wedding? I have had photos on the gallery there for ages.

Re: Has anyone....

Me and my lovely guy got married in the Botanical Gardens in the morning (Jan 2002) and then went to do the bridge climb in the afternoon (after a slap-up meal at McDonalds in Circular Quay!!!).

We suited up and completed the training beforehand and then went out to do the climb. We arrived at the notorious 'catwalk' when you can see right through to the water below and my new husband went a whiter shade of pale. The leader of the group was fantastic and announced over her radio that she had a 'Code 98' and some nice people came to collect him, take him down and gave him reassurance and a can of pop!

I carried on and really loved the experience, the stories that the leader tells you on the way up are fun and light-hearted and the group I was in contained 3 lovely sisters that really looked after me.

All in all a fantastic first day of marraige albeit mostly spent apart. I would recommend the experience but make sure that you can cope with heights before you go up.... :scared:
