Haridressing..can someone please help me out?
Hi,I'm not sure if I'm posting this is the right place. So sorry if I'm not
Can anyone please help me.I live in the Northern suburbs of Perth WA.I am really wanting to fulfill my dream to become a hairdresser and I'm finding this very hard due to my age ,I'm not old by any means but most employers would rather pay a younger person less.I cannot give up on this dream.
So if anyone can help me get my foot in the door it would be amazing.
I have had experience in the past in fact I have done 3 years but the apprenticeship I was promised never happened.
I have two children one is at full time school and one is at daycare so would love to have a job that fits in with this which is another reason I'm finding this so very hard.
Please let me know if you can help I am a very hard worker and put 110% into my work.I am bubbly and work well in a team.
Hopefully someone can be of help.
Thanks.
Lisa Marie.

Are you a WA licensed hairdresser? If not, then I would think it's going to be difficult for you to find work as one here. Have you tried going around to the various hairdressing places in your area to see if they can hire you on? Have you thought about going to school to get your license?

Hi,
No I'm not WA licensed hairdresser.
I posted on here to see if anyone would employ me and give me an apprenticeship.
I would love to go to school and in fact this would maybe suit me better with my children and this might happen now because I have just had found out there might be a hairdressing school (schools that take you as an apprentice)I could perhaps attend but I have yet to find out if it's part time and all the info (ie,cost).
So fingers crossed either I find a hairdressing school that takes apprentices on and it's part time or I am employed being offered my apprenticeship.
Thanks for your help.
