Doubt it legislation is good as passed. 80% of australians are against it tho.

Makes a nice day for us, electrican son is facing threats of fines and Jail :scared: (over zealous threats there ) if he marches, building husband is a couple of hundred workers down and I overlooked Jacks hospital appointment in brisbane city today which we cant cancel but dont know if after the expected nightmare journey (brisbane bomb scares yesterday) anyone will be at the hospital. Other son is at school but teachers are not teaching

Son and aussie mates were up at 4am making banners for the protests, might see him on telly later or be bailing him out

Ahh paradise

Drinking at 6am may be just a tad early Its coffee, internet and TV running for news updates on the paradise situation

Still off to UK in december, the one in our family who most talks of leaving australia is our son, cant blame him hes a trainee electrician, all the aus kids in with him are the same, plan to train and then leave and work overseas where they might get decent pay and workers rights, a great move by australia really as we are talking 19 year old men, who basically are australias future and most plan to bog off overseas

Howard won't listen, its gone on for years hence the shortage of general skilled workers in aus. Its nothing to do with the size of the country, more that young, fit, healthy and qualified workers are forced to leave for decent wages and a chance. Seems strange saying this when we're planning to come back, but as government employees our situation is slightly different. how our kids will fair is a different matter? Its something Mark's concerned about. he thinks we'll only be in aus for a few years then we'll be back here! It'll be a case of wait and see.......... mind you if our bloody house doesn't sell we'll be going nowhere!
