Oh Sue, I've only just spotted this!!! You are a COW!

Nobody talk to Sue2, she is really evil.

(But John says thank-you for the best wishes anyway). And just to make me feel really bad....... on John's birthday we went and did the Mt.Nebo / Mt. Glorious tourist route, and yes....he drove!

But I let him have the evening off. We took him to the local Turkish restaurant, and his mum paid the bill, so his credit card got a well deserved rest. We got stranded in the restaurant waiting for that amazing storm to pass. Which of-course it never did. So I ran all the way up Oxford Street, barefooted and soaked to the skin, avoiding the bolts of lightning. At one stage I trod on something wet, soft and furry, but I was too scared to look in case it was a squidged possum or worse still, a bat! John and his mum were in hot pursuit but by the time I got home I'd built up a 3 minute gap between me, John and the mother-in-law. What a night! Laughed my head off.

Woke up today to find that the Oxford St. bakery had flooded. Oh dear, what a mess.

Ceeya tomorrow! Looking forward to it.

Hi Tony,

Johns says cheers mate!

And I say, won't you bloody well hurry up and get out here? I need someone with bird recognition skills, and I need them NOW! There are all sorts of birds in the garden that keep dive bombing me, and they're definitely NOT magpies. We rescued a most peculiar looking chick today. I was hoovering out the laundry and when I turned round this chick the size of a chicken (ok slight exaggeration) was STARING at me. Scared the living daylights out of me. So John took it to the local vets but the receptionist had no idea what it was. Looked a bit like one of those Tawny frog mouthed thingummies, but I certainly haven't seen any adult versions nesting round here, and I've never seen them in the city anyway. We saw a fantastic adult fairy wren yesterday on Mt.Nebo. I know they're really common out here, but its the first one I've ever seen.

Hope you're still studying hard Tony.
All the best
Netta

Hi Kris,

John says thanks

How's it going mate? (I'm calling everyone mate now I'm out here, seems only natural - tee hee). I'm not posting as much as I should be - we're still on dial-up and its really painful. But I'm preparing a second update post, following on from my first about 3 weeks ago. How's it going with you? When are you coming out here? ITS GREAT!!!!
