Smile Hairdressing .... confused....

Hi Everyone

I am a fully qualified hairdresser and have 10 yrs salon experience. After having my children it works out that I haven't been in a salon for approx. 5 yrs. How will it work for me to apply to emigrate using my trade?

Can anyone help me please?

I think that you need a NVQ level 3 plus the experience if that helps x

Hi Lian

I think you must have at least 6 month recent work experience if you want to apply for a skilled visa.
You might want to have a look here for your options:

Good luck!

Hi! I worked in a salon for 17 years, then had baby (George), so clients came to me for the last 3 years. I had to prove how many hours a week i worked (we applied for 137stni visa, so you need to state recent work experience over the last 2 years) if you are applying for a 136 its 4 years (i think!)
This involved me getting written statements from clients stating how long i had done their hair, how often they came, what the service involved, and cost, aswell as showing bank statements, letters from my accountant, suppliers etc. i also used child tax credit forms as this showed how many hours a week. (these had to be certified at court, which was a total pain)we are now waiting for acknowledgement, and are quite worried as people that sent theirs after us have all heard back! Hope that helps? Traceyxx
