Thumbs down Had an offer on my house

We've finally had an offer on the house, dont get to excited as we've refused it. It was for 10k less than the asking price :scared: ( bear in mind that we've also dropped the house price by 10k) so we said NO ! she then went up another 3k & we said no again.

I know we're desperate but not that desperate, I'm not going to give my house away, especially to her as I know she can afford it

Oh dear, but look on the bright side at least you've had an offer if not an acceptable one. I havent had any interest in ages. In fact, I have given up trying to do anything to it in recent weeks and some rooms are only half decorated. I am now in the mind frame to get back on with it now so fingers crossed!!!

Hopefully the lady will come back again soon with a higher offer. After all shes only £7k under the asking price now. How much would you be prepared to drop it by?

I think if she'd offer another 3 or 4 thousand we'd accept it but I know she wants it, so we'll have to stew over the weekend & see what Monday brings

we are planning to keep our house here (and rent it out - it will pay for itself) and rent there initially..... it seems like a cheaper option... perhaps I'm wrong?
Housing market does appear to have gone flat in recent months....

We had two agents on it. I just wish that some one would make us an offer.

It took us a year to sell. Started at £550,000 to start (two agents originally said it would sell for £575,000 but that was stupid). And we eventually sold for £425,000.

I have had my house on the market since last December, sold twice and fallen through twice days before the exchange both times. I have had offers of which one was 35000 les than the asking price. As soon as people know you are emigrating they try to take the piss. I am now going to rent for a year or two and try again at a later date. I realise that i shall be going out with little or no money, but i think it will be worth it. So chin up, itll happen eventually. If not consider renting if it is a feasible option for you.
