Hi all,
Its been a year, i have finished my Masters degree in Accounting. But i have been unable to get a satisfying job. Been working in Clerical or Admin rolls, which is really a child play.
Can someone please guide.

Gee, nice to know all us admin types do "child's play" all day while you important people do your accounting.

Childs play? That sounded a touch patronising to be honest, all jobs are important no matter what they are.

I don't think their first language is English, so I just took it as their interpretation of 'boring' for them. (We all know what these online language convertors are like )

I just typed "boring" into my online language converter and came up with "accountancy"

Could also explain why the job search isn't going too well.
There is a well known occasion from someone being taken around NASA prior to 1969 (can't remember who it was, but may well have been the President of the time) and asking everyone what they did etc. He asked that of the chap sweeping the floors and was given the answer "I'm helping get a man on the moon".
Its very true - every single individual throughout an organisation is there to help that organisation achieve its strategic goal.
Please don't tar every beancounter with the same brush, some of us are almost human

It was pre '69 so he still had those rose tinted glasses on
Mind you, it could have happened a couple of years ago if they're still trying!

If your looking for a decent role the question is going to be why has no one else snapped you up in the last 12 months?

Re: guide me with the job search
He turned to me and told me he was envious of my command of English (not bad for somebody from Birkenhead) to which I laughed as obviously I would love to be able to speak 4 languages.
He pointed out that in some conversations he thought a bunch of Brits were referring to this when actually it was that. In his view Brits were experts at communicating using the nuances of spoken language and body language to communicate in a form of code.
The point I'm making is that we do get visitors to the site whose native language is not English and sometimes they may phrase something in a way we find peculiar.
Personally, I would like to thank them for learning English as it saves me having to learn their language(s).
To the OP I'm not an accountant but I gather there are lots of jobs around so I suggest you contact http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/cps/r...xsl/index.html
and see what they suggest.
They have offices here and there http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/cps/r...9_ENA_HTML.htm

Re: guide me with the job search
I remember driving across Madrid with a colleague who spoke Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. His English was fluent. I can't attest to his French and Portuguese as I don't speak the languages although I had been present when he was on the phone chatting away.
