My best mate in the UK phoned me today, she wanted us to be God-parents to her baby boy but we couldn`t because we were in Australia. She has now asked that we be legal guardians should (god forbid) anything happen to her & her hubby. I was really touched as I was gutted about the god-parent/christening thing and I`ve agreed to do it but anyone any ideas of the legalities with us being here in Oz (I realise it could be a problem visa wise if anything happended to her & hubby)??

Re: Guardian
I'm in the same position with my sister's children; possible legal guardian if (God forbid) anything happened. I'll try and find the thread I started a while back where Jeremy discussed it........
