Hi can anyone tell me, is it correct that if you purchase any furniture or other items in the UK in the twelve months prior to moving out that you are laible to GST when you get to oz?? and if so how is this enforced, ie how do they prove you have purchased in that time or is it a case of you having to prove otherwise??

Officially yes but Most of the comments I've seen on here suggest that only a small number do actually pay anything, and the those that do only pay on a few items.
