While in the banana capital of australia were still paying $15 a kilo, in lovely Devon

If you live in Queesland you could grow your own banana's in your backyard,
then they don't cost anything.

Here in SA we're at about £9.99 a kilo - expensive enough still so have to ration my youngest son to 1 per shop as he loves them but at £1.00 a banana it does seem expensive!
Can't grow them down here but would if we could, just bought our own orange and lemon trees so we'll see how they go!

My local fruit barn has never gone over the $7 a kilo mark since the cyclone - looked ok but I don't really eat them so still didn't buy them. No idea what they are at the moment.
