Grandparents

I've been offered a job on a 457 visa.

My wife's parents are wanting to come with us, both nearing retirement age.

How do they go about gaining a visa?

They will have to qualify on their own merits. If you get permanent residence a contributory parent visa may be a medium term option, if the requirements are met.
