Default Got over my first Aussie clothes purchase

I've just bought some new jeans, first time in 4 years I've been here.

Went to Jeans West and paid 100 bucks for 2 pairs. Chief loves them.

They're actually quite trendy too which makes a change for moi. I've been nervously eyeing up the latest metrosexual look for ages with dread but have given in. I'm pleased I now have a convenient place to shop. I don't mind cheap clothes that fall apart - at least I know when they are likely to do so, and can count on them doing that. Noone worse than buying good clothes and then the shop going out of business or stopping the line.

cheers

I love Jeans West jeans....one of the few brands that seem to fit my shape. Bought some well over a year and a half ago and no sign of them falling apart yet.

I bought some jeans for my boys when we got here.

The ones I bought my 13 year old were $48, good quality, well made jeans. Hubby being himself said I'll have these $10 ones. They both have about the same amount of wear, a couple of days a week mainly for going out in.

Guess who's have fallen apart already?

Jeans West is the only jeans shop I have EVER gone into and the first pair tried on, fitted like a glove. I have never had a pair fit me round the waist before - I was, sadly, very very happy

I always buy Levi 501s - 6 pairs each time I am in the US for $20 each and gradually use them up.

I'll be doing this again on my way to Oz!

I once had a bad experience in Jeans West. Fell in love with a pair but they were too long. Wifey in shop says no problem, we can alter them for you. Oh no, says me, you can't hem jeans, they'll look awful. Don't worry, they'll be perfect, promise.

Hmmm, they came back looking like Granny Smith had hemmed them..nice orange thread on a lovely dark blue hem (none of the "wear" you see on jeans at the hem if you know what I mean). They really really looked crap. Like I'd taken them up at home.

I used to do that when I was younger (and thinner).

I've now got 31 pairs that are too small
