Got our visa but i AM CONFUSED
wE GOT OUR VISA YESTERDAY BUT THE WORDING ON IT IS CONFUSING ME.
hOW DO WE BECOME CITIZENS? hOW DO WE GET THAT IN 2 YEARS? wHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO?

What visa have you got? If it is Permanent Residency (PR) then you need to ensure you validate (enter Australia) by the date on the visa. You then need to spend currently 2 yrs, but soon AFAIK to be increased to 3yr physically in Australia. If you say go away on business/holiday etc, the clock stops ticking and continues upon your arrival back to Oz.
Then you have to apply for citizenship once you have spent the required amount of time in Oz

Yes it is PR (136 modl skilled independent) that we have. We will be coming in Aug/Sep. So if we don't leave Oz for two years from that date we will be able to apply for citizenship? Is the application for citizenship quite easy and straight forward. Say for example someone was ill back in the UK and we needed to come back for a couple of weeks would our clock stop ticking for those two weeks and restart when we returned or would it reset and we would have to start from the beginning again?
